Belthangady, Aug. 26 -- A complaint has been lodged at Belthangady police station against social activist Vasanth Giliyar by the Karnataka Syro Malabar Catholic Association, alleging that he spread false information about the Christian community.
According to the complaint, Giliyar, while addressing a "Dharma Samrakshana" meeting at Freedom Park in Bengaluru, alleged, "Under the influence of missionaries, Hindu Tulsi altars were broken and crosses were placed there. After the Dharmasthala Rural Development Project began in 1983, such acts stopped.
