Bengaluru, Sept. 4 -- The world's biggest names in chess will converge on Bengaluru as the fourth season of the Tech Mahindra Global Chess League gets underway on Saturday, with world number one Magnus Carlsen returning to the fold and six star-studded franchises chasing the coveted title.
The nine-day league, a joint initiative of Tech Mahindra and FIDE, will feature 32 matches in a high-intensity double round-robin format, with only the top two teams advancing to the Grand Finale on September 13.
