Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Feb. 24 -- : Two persons went missing after a Swift car fell into a canal while travelling from Kordgaon towards Pimpalwadi via the Changatpuri route in Paithan taluka, an official said on Tuesday.
The mishap occurred when the vehicle apparently lost its way and reached the edge of the canal. While reversing, the car suddenly slipped and plunged into the water. Three persons were travelling in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
One of the occupants, Altaf Pathan, a resident of Hadgaon in Shevgaon taluka of Ahmednagar district, was rescued and shifted to Londhe Hospital in Paithan. He is undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the accident.
