New Delhi, July 5 -- Aiming to curb air pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR) and its adjoining areas ahead of the winter season, the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) recently held high-level review meetings with Punjab and Haryana Governments.

The primary objective was to assess the implementation of key sectoral measures and enhance inter-departmental coordination for effective pollution abatement, said a statement issued here today.

The meetings, chaired by CAQM Chairperson Rajesh Verma, were attended by members and senior officials of the Commission, along with Chief Secretaries and senior officers from the two States.
