Kolhapur, June 11 -- Congress leader and MLC Satej Patil today stressed that the Maharashtra government still has an opportunity to cancel the proposed Shaktipeeth highway project and instead utilise that funds for conservation of historic forts like Gadkot and on many other public interest issues.
Talking to reporters here, Patil, who is also district Congress president, was reacting on the state government's notification to acquire lands for the highway projet.
