Kolkata, Feb. 22 -- The remaining process of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal will now be carried out under judicial supervision, following a fresh round of consultations between the Election Commission and the Calcutta High Court.

A virtual meeting was held on Sunday under the leadership of the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court, in which senior state officials, including the Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police, and the Commissioner of Kolkata Police, were present.

The discussion primarily focused on the modalities and responsibilities of various authorities ahead of the commencement of document verification from Monday.
