Shimla, March 24 -- A Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) inspection report relating to the Himachal Pradesh Real Este Regulatory Authority (HP RERA), covering the period from December 2019 to May 2025, has flagged multiple financial and procedural lapses within the authority, as per documents accessed through official records.
The inspection report laid in the state assembly on Monday notes that penalty amounts exceeding Rs 1.56 crore were lying in bank accounts instead of being dealt with in accordance with prescribed norms. It also records irregular retention of funds amounting to over Rs 1.12 crore, indicating deviations from established financial procedures.
