Palampur, June 15 -- Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act following an alleged assault, criminal intimidation and firing incident at a cafe in Mansimbal village of Kangra district.

Kangra district superintendent of police Ashok Rattan told UNI that the incident occurred on June 13 at Hotel Hide Out in Mansimbal when Ashish Kumar, a resident of Mansimbal, and his friends were having a meal at the establishment. A dispute reportedly arose after Ashish Kumar and his friend Paras complained to cafe owner Padam Dev about excessive salt in the food.
