Bengaluru, May 31 -- Even as Chief Minister-designate DK Shivakumar prepares to take charge of Karnataka's reins, the shape of his first Cabinet remains a closely guarded secret, with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday revealing that no proposal on ministerial appointments has yet reached the party high command.
Kharge's remarks underscore the delicate political balancing act now confronting the Congress after Shivakumar's elevation as leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) and his formal invitation by Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot to form the government.
