Kolkata, May 27 -- Speculation over the expansion of the West Bengal cabinet intensified after Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari held a lengthy meeting with Governor R. N. Ravi at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday morning.

The chief minister reached Lok Bhavan around 11:30 am and held discussions with the Governor for nearly one hour and forty minutes.

He left the Raj Bhavan premises around 1:15 pm.

Though no official statement was issued regarding the agenda of the meeting, political circles believe the discussion was linked to the much-anticipated expansion of the BJP government's cabinet ahead of the upcoming budget session.
