Jammu, Nov. 11 -- Polling to decide the fate of ten candidates in the Nagrota Assembly by-election is underway under tight security arrangements.
The polling commenced smoothly at 7 am across all 150 polling stations in the constituency and will end at 6 pm.
Ten candidates, including Deviyani Rana, daughter of former BJP MLA Late Devender Singh Rana, National Conference's (NC) Shamim Begum, and J&K National Panthers Party (India) president and former minister, Harsh Dev Singh, are in the fray in a triangular contest.
Other candidates, namely Joginder Singh of Aam Aadmi Party, Bodh Raj of Apni Party, and the president of All J&K Panchayat Conference, Anil Sharma, are also in the contest with independents.
