Lucknow, Sept. 8 -- An important initiative has been taken towards expanding interstate bus services between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
To provide better and easier transportation facilities to passengers from both states, including border districts, agreements were reached on several issues, including the expansion of bus services, the establishment of new routes, and uniform fares.
This decision was reached during a meeting held yesterday in Lucknow between Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh and Bihar Transport Minister Damodar Rawat.
The meeting reviewed the status of bus operations on 25 routes designated under the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar Interstate Transport Agreement, effective in 2016 and its extension to May 2026.
