Shimla, Jan. 14 -- Himachal Pradesh is witnessing a fresh bout of political turmoil after sharp public remarks by senior ministers against sections of the bureaucracy, particularly officers belonging to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, exposed deep divisions within the Congress government and heightened tension between the political executive and the administration.
The controversy began with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, who, while addressing a public gathering in Mandi last month, issued a strong warning to the bureaucracy, alleging that some officers continued to maintain proximity with opposition leaders despite the Congress being in power.
