Mumbai, July 16 -- In a move that has sparked intense behind-the-scenes friction within the ruling Mahayuti alliance, newly elected Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Sachin Ahir finds himself at the center of a humiliating "housing row," left without a designated government bungalow despite his high-ranking constitutional position.
Ahir, who recently transitioned from the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) to the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, has seen two separate housing allotments slip through his fingers in a matter of days.
