Mumbai, March 28 -- Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has joined the Mumbai Indians camp ahead of their Indian Premier League 2026 season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, providing a timely boost to the five-time champions.

Bumrah, who had been at the Board of Control for Cricket in India Centre of Excellence on the outskirts of Bengaluru, was undergoing workload management and strength and conditioning assessments following the recently concluded ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

The fast bowler reportedly linked up with the squad on Friday evening.
