Mumbai, Sept. 1 -- India have brought back pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, signalling a significant boost to their bowling attack ahead of a busy international season.

Bumrah, who missed the third ODI against England and the subsequent Test series in Sri Lanka due to a recurrence of his left-knee injury, has been included in the 15-member squad, subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI Centre of Excellence.

Washington Sundar, Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy have also been picked subject to fitness clearance, while the return of Bumrah provides India with a major experienced option in the shortest format.
