Kolkata, April 13 -- A chilling incident unfolded early Monday morning when the bullet-riddled body of a 37-year-old man was recovered from a locked flat in the Narendrapur area of West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, raising suspicions of murder linked to a strained personal relationship.
The deceased, identified as Arup Mondal, was residing alone in a flat at Nabagram under the jurisdiction of Narendrapur police station. According to police sources, two firearms and six rounds of ammunition were recovered from the scene, intensifying the mystery surrounding the death.
