Mumbai, Sept. 9 -- A 62-year-old woman lost her life, while her daughter-in-law sustained serious injuries when a section of a building collapsed on them in Mumbra, neighbouring Thane district, earlier today.
The incident took place at approximately 12:36 am at Lucky compound in Daulat Nagar.
According to Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell, a part of the parapet from a flat in a four-storey building gave way and fell onto the two victims as they were walking along the road nearby.
The deceased has been identified as Nahid Jainuddin Jamali, while the injured is her daughter-in-law, Ilma Zehra Jamali, aged 26.
