New Delhi, Feb. 1 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta welcomed the union Budget 2026-27, describing it as a forward-looking and people-centric roadmap that prioritises youth, farmers and the middle class while strengthening India's journey towards a developed and self-reliant nation.

Reacting to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's Budget presentation, Gupta said the proposals would infuse new energy into the vision of Viksit Bharat, adding that the Budget is anchored around three key priorities -- accelerating economic growth through higher investment, industry and employment generation, simplifying citizens' lives by improving safety and convenience, and ensuring inclusive development in line with Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.
