Ludhiana, Aug. 30 -- Border Security Force (BSF) soldier lost both his legs in a tragic incident while attempting to thwart a robbery on a moving train near Damoria Bridge.

The soldier, identified as Aman Jaiswal, a resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was travelling on the Shaan-e-Punjab train to Jalandhar, where he is currently posted.

According to the reports, the incident occurred when an unidentified individual attempted to snatch Jaiswal's mobile phone while he was seated near the train's door.

As the train slowed down on the outer railway line near Damoria Bridge, the assailant grabbed the phone, leading to a struggle. In the ensuing scuffle, Jaiswal fell under the train, resulting in severe injuries that led to the amputation of ...
