Mumbai, May 19 -- BSE Ltd appears set to miss out on a coveted spot in the Nifty 50 index, as the stock fails to meet some eligibility criteria required for inclusion in India's benchmark equity gauge.
BSE Ltd. was not included in Nifty 100 as the stock was not forming part of top 90 as per full market capitalization based on average data for 6-month period ending 31st January 2026To qualify for the Nifty 50, a stock must first be part of the Nifty 100 index and available for trading in NSE's Futures & Options segment. However, BSE Ltd currently does not feature in the Nifty 100, making its Nifty 50 inclusion a distant prospect.
