Hyderabad, March 20 -- High drama unfolded in the Telangana Assembly on Friday as MLAs of the opposition BRS staged a walkout during the presentation of the 2026-27 Budget by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, alleging that the exercise was a "complete sham."As soon as the Finance Minister began his speech, BRS members raised slogans accusing the Congress government of failing to implement its election promises, particularly the "Six Guarantees." In a symbolic protest, the MLAs placed flowers behind their ears - an idiom suggesting deception - and walked out of the House.
