Shimla, Feb. 21 -- An 86-year-old British national, identified as Barry Elvin Moss, was found dead in a hotel room in the Lower Kaithu area of Shimla in the early hours of Saturday, police said.
According to officials, information was received around noon from a local resident, Suryavanshi of Kaithu near Chitkara Park, stating that a foreign guest staying at his hotel was lying unconscious in Room No. 103.
The station house officer along with the sub-divisional police officer reached the hotel and verified the report. Hotel staff informed the police that Moss, a resident of 46 Rutland Road, England, had checked into Room No. 103. He had reportedly consumed a small quantity of alcohol earlier in the evening.
