Washington, Aug. 20 -- The Province of British Columbia is "hopeful" over the prospects of a trade agreement between Canada and the United States, Premier David Eby has said.
"While no agreement will offer everything our country is hoping for, the federal government has made substantial progress across strategic sectors," Eby said on Wednesday via X. "Given the latest developments we are hopeful about the possibility of an agreement."The premier noted that despite the latest developments, Canada will not return to its previous ties with the United States and will pursue its efforts to diversify trade partnerships.
