New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- Senior officials from BRICS countries met in New Delhi on Monday to finalise a consensus on key environmental and climate priorities ahead of the 12th BRICS Environment Ministers' Meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
The Senior Officers' Meeting of the Environment Working Group and the Contact Group on Climate Change and Sustainable Development was held at Bharat Mandapam under India's BRICS Chairship for 2026. The meeting was chaired by Environment Secretary Tanmay Kumar and attended by delegations from Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and India.
