Dharmashala, June 3 -- Women self-help groups (SHGs) in Dhanag village of Baijnath subdivision in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district have emerged as a model of rural entrepreneurship and self-reliance through the cultivation of medicinal herb Brahmi under Mission Dhanvantari.
Supported by government schemes and technical assistance from CSIR-IHBT, women associated with Durga Shakti, Jagriti, Lakshmi and Prerana SHGs have transformed Brahmi cultivation into a profitable livelihood venture, significantly enhancing their incomes and economic independence.
