Bhubaneswar, Feb. 19 -- In a major boost to railway infrastructure and regional development in southern Odisha, the Railways has sanctioned the redevelopment of Brahmapur Railway Station at an estimated cost of Rs.93.19 crore under Phase-I.
The ambitious project aims to transform the historic station into a modern, passenger-friendly, smart and sustainable transport hub capable of meeting future growth demands.
Popularly known as the Silk City of Odisha, Brahmapur serves as a gateway to renowned destinations such as Gopalpur Sea Beach and Taratarini Temple. It is one of the oldest and busiest railway stations in the region.
