Cuttack, Dec. 30 -- A brilliant effort by the bowlers put Bengal on top against Manipur atstumps on Day 2 in the Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite match here on Tuesday.
After posting 452/6 decl in their first innings, Bengal bowled out Manipur for 90 in their first innings.
For Bengal, Tufan Roy remained unbeaten on 205.
Koushik Bouri (4-33), Triparna Samanta (3-10), Sayak Jana (2-4) were brilliant with the ball for Bengal.
Following on, Manipur were 92/7 in their second innings at stumps on the second and penultimate day, still trailing by 270 runs.
