Berlin, Aug. 27 -- Borussia Dortmund has confirmed the permanent signing of English midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka from Premier League side Chelsea, the club announced.
The 21-year-old, who impressed during a six-month loan spell with the Black and Yellows last season, has committed his future to BVB with a contract running until June 2030.
Dortmund reportedly secured the deal for a fee of around 25 million euros (27 million U.S. dollars), less than the initial option agreed with Chelsea last winter.
"Carney is an exceptional talent who has already shown flashes of his potential with us in the second half of last season," said sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
