Bagalkot, April 6 -- Former Karnataka Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai on Monday sharpened his attack on political opponents, alleging that votes are being influenced through money power, and urged voters not to be swayed by short-term inducements.
Addressing a public meeting in Bammangi village in support of BJP candidate Veeranna Charantimath, organised by Bharatiya Janata Party, Bommai claimed that some political forces were attempting to "purchase" votes by offering what he described as temporary financial benefits equivalent to a few days' wages.
