Bengaluru, Sept. 8 -- Former Chief Minister and Member of Parliament Basavaraj Bommai today demanded a magisterial inquiry into the Maddur incident, where miscreants allegedly pelted stones on a Ganesha immersion procession in Mandya district's Maddur taluk.
Bommai described the attack as a pre-planned act and a consequence of the Congress government's appeasement politics.
Speaking to the media, Bommai said the police completely failed to provide adequate security during the Ganesh festival procession, reaching the spot only after the incident occurred.
