Mumbai, Aug. 3 -- The Bombay High Court on Monday set aside the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) suspension of the food licence of a Navi Mumbai bar and restaurant after the establishment was found fully compliant with food safety norms during a subsequent inspection.
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ravindra Ghuge and Justice Gautam Ankhad questioned the FDA's decision to continue the suspension despite issuing a certificate recording 100 per cent compliance.
The court also indicated that it would consider imposing costs on the department for the losses allegedly suffered by the restaurant owner.
