Mumbai, Aug. 10 -- Bombay High Court judge Justice Gautam Ankhad today recused himself from hearing a bunch of petitions filed by the Indian National Congress (INC), the All India Trade union Congress (AITUC) and also the Communist Party of India (Marxist) challenging the constitutional validity of the Maharashtra Special Public Security Act, (MSPSA) 2025.

Reason for refusal was not made known immediately but as a normal practice. Following the refusal now, the matter will be placed before a new bench which will hear the matter in its due couse, legal sourcess said.
