Mumbai, July 22 -- The Bombay High Court on Wednesday extended its interim stay on the bail granted to Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Sukrya Mhatre in the case pertaining to the alleged assault on doctors at a civic hospital at Dombivli in adjoining Thane district.

The court also directed authorities to preserve crucial CCTV footage connected with the incident, permitted the Indian Medical Association (IMA) to intervene in the proceedings and made strong observations regarding the conduct of the police during the investigation. The matter has been adjourned until July 27 for further hearing.
