Mumbai April 15 (UNI) The Bombay High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by gangster and prime accused in the 1993 serial Bomb blast case Abu Salem seeking remission of his sentence and an early release from prison, while saying that prima facie Salem had not yet completed the 25-year prison term.Salem, who was convicted of life in the blast case, moved the high court after a designated court under the TADA Act, which was trying the blast case, had on December 10, 2024, rejected his premature release plea.The Division bench of Justices Ajey Gadkari and Kamal Khata, in its operative part order, upheld the designated court order and disagreed with the submission made by the gangster.
