Bombay HC Criticises Maharashtra Police Over FIRs Filed on Complaints by Unrelated Persons
Mumbai, July 16 -- Coming down heavily on the Maharashtra police for registering FIRs on complaints filed by people who have no direct connection with alleged irregularities in the appointment of teachers, non-teaching staff and the issuance of Shalarth IDs, Bombay High Court has observed that police officials, despite being public servants, appeared to be acting as if they were "real lords with law under them."A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Ravindra V. Ghuge and Justice Gautam A.
