Mumbai, July 17 -- Police registered an FIR in connection with the threatening calls received about a bomb on a Mumbai-Ahmedabad flight and also to blow up Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, officials said today.
According to information the FIR was registered by Navi Mumbai police as the call was received at the office of the Navi Mumbai joint commissioner of police, in the neighbouring city between 2pm and 2:30pm yesterday.
An FIR has been registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita as the calls were intended to disturb public peace and create fear in the minds of the people," the official said.
