Patna, July 21 -- A bomb threat email from an unidentified sender claiming affiliation with a pro-Khalistan outfit, targeting the Bihar Chief Minister's residence and the state secretariat, triggered a high-security alert in Patna on Tuesday.
Following the threat, security agencies stepped up surveillance at the Chief Minister's residence and the secretariat. Bomb disposal squads and dog squads were deployed to the affected locations, while security personnel carried out extensive searches.
Police said no chances were being taken and that security had been tightened across all the targeted locations.
