Chandigarh, April 13 -- Panic gripped the regional passport office and various post offices in Chandigarh after officials from the Ministry of External Affairs received a threatening email early Monday morning. The sender claimed to have planted 14 cyanide-laced Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) across these locations.

The threat prompted an immediate response from the Chandigarh Police, who evacuated the passport office in Industrial Area Phase 2 and conducted a rigorous two-hour search operation.
