Panchkula, Sept. 24 -- Police and security agencies were put on alert in Panchkula on Thursday after an email threatened to blow up schools in the city and also mentioned plans to blow up BJP offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh.
A bomb threat email was received, prompting police and security agencies to step up security across the city.
According to preliminary information, the email threatened attacks on schools in Panchkula and mentioned BJP offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh, as well as top BJP leaders.
According to the letter, union Home Minister Amit Shah and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's names were also mentioned.
