Dimapur, Feb. 7 -- The body of a tourist from Tripura who had gone missing at Dzukou Valley in Kohima district on January 4 has been recovered, police said.
The Kohima police on Saturday confirmed the recovery of the body of Pranab Das (22), son of Niranjan Das, of Malaynagar, Nepali Tilla, under Srinagar district of Tripura.
The Kohima Police in a release said information was received at around 4.20 pm on Friday about the presence of a body on the riverbank below Dzukou Valley helipad.
A team comprising Kohima police, district administration, Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) and volunteers from neighbouring villages reached the location in the early hours of Saturday and recovered the body.
