Bokaro, Jan. 30 -- The body of an unidentified middle-aged woman was recovered from bushes near the TV Tower in Sector 6 of this city in Jharkhand on Friday morning, police said.
The corpse was found in an area under the Sector 6 police station's jurisdiction.
Police said the body was found in a secluded area, and the woman's identity is yet to be established. She is estimated to be around 40-45 years old.
According to police sources, the woman's head was found badly crushed, indicating a brutal killing. The condition of the body suggests that the woman may have been sexually assaulted before being murdered, and the body was later dumped in the deserted bushes to conceal the crime.
