Varanasi, April 2 -- The Banaras Locomotive Works (BLE) workshop has made a historic achievement of producing 572 locomotives in the financial year 2025-26.
BLW General Manager Ashutosh Pant, who visited the workshp on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed garden on the workshop premises.
On this occasion, he said that the Banaras Locomotive Works has set a new record by producing an unprecedented 572 locomotives in the financial year 2025-26. This remarkable achievement, setting a new record for the highest loco production in all financial years so far, not only demonstrates BLW's excellent technical capabilities and efficiency, but also marks an important step towards a self-reliant and strong future for Indian Railways.
