Chennai, March 11 -- Air conditioning and commercial refrigeration major Blue Star Ltd plans to ship out heat pumps to the US market, where two companies have approved the product, said a top company official.
He also said the company will be investing about Rs 210 crore in manufacturing, research and development, and advertising, and will also start construction of a new facility in Sri City near here in 2029 to make room air conditioners and exports of commercial air conditioning products.
"Our heat pumps have been approved by two US companies. The product will be made at our Wada plant in Maharashtra. Tariff (US import tariff) will play an important role," B.Thiagarajan, Managing Director said.
