Bengaluru, May 26 -- Marking 18 years of operations, Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport) has been commemorated by India Post with the release of a Permanent Pictorial Cancellation (PPC), along with a Special Cover and Picture Postcards celebrating its journey as Bengaluru's primary gateway to the world.
The commemorative philatelic release highlights BLR Airport's transformation since its inauguration in 2008 as India's first greenfield airport developed under a public-private partnership. Over the past 18 years, the airport has expanded in scale, capacity and global connectivity, evolving alongside Bengaluru's rise as a major hub for technology, innovation, enterprise and culture.
