Patna, July 15 -- Ahead of the by-election to the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Bihar, the Jan Suraaj Party suffered a major political setback on Wednesday as three of its prominent leaders, considered close associates of party founder Prashant Kishor, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with their supporters.
Those who joined the BJP include former Jan Suraaj candidate from the Kumhrar Assembly constituency Prof. Dr. K.C. Sinha, party's former candidate from the Digha Assembly constituency Ritesh Ranjan Singh, alias Bittu Singh, and former candidate from the Maner Assembly constituency Sandeep Kumar Singh, alias Gopal Singh.
