Los Angeles, March 11 -- Medical drama "Doc" is set to welcome another prominent addition to its cast, with veteran actor Blair Underwood joining the series as a regular in its upcoming third season.
Underwood is succeeding another big name, Felicity Huffman, who joined Doc for a year-long arc in Season 2. His deal is also believed to be for one season. Underwood will play Dr. Ben Grant, a world-class trauma and cardiothoracic surgeon with an ego that somehow outpaces even his resume, reports DEADLINE.
