Kolkata, May 18 -- The recovery of a BJP worker's hanging body from a brick kiln allegedly linked to the family of former Trinamool Congress MLA Saokat Mollah and the arrest of the son of Trinamool MLA Dilip Mondal with firearms have intensified political tensions in South 24-Parganas.
Tension gripped the Poyna area under Deuli gram panchayat in Jaynagar's Jibantala on Monday after the hanging body of a man, allegedly a BJP worker, was recovered from a room inside a brick kiln. Labourers first spotted the body in the morning and alerted police. The deceased was identified as Dudhkumar Sardar, a resident of Harinda in Jibantala.
