Hyderabad, Nov. 9 -- Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao voiced confidence that the party will win the Jubilee Hills by-election, and thanked party workers for their efforts during the campaign.
Speaking at a press conference at the BJP state office on Sunday, he criticised both the ruling Congress and the BRS, alleging that the campaign run by the Congress was based on religious appeals rather than development.
He alleged that Congress leaders, including the Chief Minister, had sought votes on religious lines and accused the party of trying to divert attention from what he described as its failure to fulfill promises made over the last 23 months.
