Nagpur, May 25 -- : Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly, Vijay Wadettiwar, on Monday, alleged large-scale horse-trading by the BJP ahead of the Nagpur Local Authorities' Constituency election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC), claiming corporators were being lured with money to influence voting.

Addressing reporters in Nagpur, Wadettiwar alleged that some corporators had been offered "token money" of Rs 5 lakh, while others were allegedly being approached with offers ranging from Rs 15 lakh to several crores to switch loyalties or support rival candidates in the election.
